GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College's softball team has been picked to finish third in the Midwest Conference for the 2026 season.
 
In balloting by league coaches, Grinnell received 46 points and is six in front of projected fourth-place finisher Lawrence University. Cornell College is picked fifth with 38 points.
 
Lake Forest College is the favorite, receiving six top votes and 62 points. Illinois College garnered the other three first-place votes and had 58 points.
