All-MWC Men's Basketball Team
GRINNELL, Iowa – One of the most successful seasons in the program's 125-year history has resulted in plenty of well-deserved accolades for the Grinnell College men's basketball team.

Gabe Garcia '27 collected first-team All-Midwest Conference honors, while
Tyler Copes '29 and
Zach Rosen '26 earned spots on the second team. Additionally, Copes was named both the league's Newcomer and Defensive Player of the Year and
David Arseneault Jr. was tabbed Coach of the Year.

The three All-MWC selections are the most for the program since the 2009 campaign when Arseneault was among GC's selections as a player.

Garcia, a three-time All-MWC honoree and repeat first-teamer, ranked third in the MWC in assists with 4.3 and was also in the top 10 for scoring (15.1 points per game) and free throw percentage (75.6 percent). He passed the 1,000-point mark for his career this season and has 1,289 points, 19
th all-time. He is also fifth in free throws made at Grinnell with 431 and 12
th in assists with 263.

Copes led the league in blocks per game with 2.2, well ahead of the runner-up's total of 1.6. He has 56 overall blocks this season, seventh-best for a season at Grinnell and 14
th on the career chart, and his field goal percentage of 67.4 percent is seventh at GC for a season. He ranked eighth in the league in steals with 1.3 a contest.

Rosen led the MWC this season in assist/turnover ratio at 2.3, well ahead of the second-place figure of 1.9. He ranked second in the league in assists per game at 4.8 and third in steals with 2.2. He is ninth on GC's career assists chart with 292 and 11
th in steals with 161.

Arseneault, a two-time MWC Coach of the Year, has guided the Pioneers to marks of 20-3 overall and 15-1 this season. Both victory totals tie program records. He owns a career mark of 154-84 overall and 107-59 in league play.

The MWC Player of the Year is Monmouth College's Zay Brown, who also won the award last season.
