GRINNELL, Iowa – For the second time in the young 2026 season, Grinnell College's Nikolas Ruden '26 has been named the Midwest Conference Baseball Position Player of the Week.
 
Ruden, a second baseman from San Francisco, Calif. (International High), tied school records for home runs and total bases in a game during the Pioneers' 15-14, 10-inning victory over nationally-ranked Rhodes College Sunday. Ruden belted three homers and had 14 total bases while going 5-of-6 at the plate with six RBIs and four runs scored. For the week, he hit .778 with a 1.778 slugging percentage, .818 on-base percentage and 10 RBIs.
 
The MWC Pitcher of the Week is Coy Dettmer of Illinois College.
