Grinnell heading to top-ranked Denison for NCAA D-III Baseball Tourney regional

GRANVILLE, Ohio – Grinnell College's baseball team will get a shot at the top-ranked team in the nation when the Pioneers head to Denison University for the NCAA Division III Regional Tournament.
 
The Pioneers will face the Big Reds at 10 a.m. Central time Friday in the four-team double-elimination bracket. Grinnell, 25-16 overall, advanced to nationals by claiming the Midwest Conference Tournament title Saturday. This year marks Grinnell's first-ever trip to the NCAAs after claiming the league regular-season and tourney titles for the first time in program history.
 
Denison is 40-1 on the season and won both the North Coast Athletic Conference regular-season and tournament crowns.
 
The other teams in the region are Cortland and Kalamazoo.
