Grinnell women's golf team gears up for NCAA D-III Championships this week

PALM DESERT, Calif. - For the third year in a row, and seventh time in program history, Grinnell College's women's golf team will tee it up with the nation's best at the NCAA Division III Championships this week.

Grinnell and several other teams will compete at Desert Willow Golf Resort Tuesday and Wednesday in Palm Desert, Calif. After two rounds, the top 15 teams and six individuals not on those squads make the cut to participate in the final two rounds.

The senior trio of Kavya Keshav '26, Vidushi Keni '26 and Amy Nguyen '26 will be participating in their third NCAA events. Kesav tied for seventh last year, Keni was 55th and Nguyen took 74th as Grinnell placed 13th as a team. The Pioneers were also 13th the year before that.

Saya Geisendorfer '27 will be the Pioneers' first golfer to tee off Tuesday, beginning on the first hole at 9:50 a.m. Central time. She'll be followed on the first tee by Waverly Yang '28 at 10 a.m., Nguyen at 10:10 a.m., Keshav at 10:20 a.m. and Keni at 10:30 a.m.
