Grinnell women's track and field team makes big impact on program's leader board

Results

MONMOUTH, Ill. - Grinnell College's women's track and field team made many dents on the program's all-time leader board at Saturday's Fighting Scots Invitational.

Champs for Grinnell were Sindri Bonner '28 in the 800-meter run (2 minutes, 21.22 seconds), Hannah Roark '26 in the 1500 (4:44.55), Grace Charron '26 in the 5000 (20:41.70), Emma Wharton-Hsieh '27 in the 3000 steeplechase (11:39.68, sixth all-time at Grinnell), Lily Mayo '28 in the long jump (5.04 meters, seventh all-time), Rajanea Landers '28 in the triple jump (10.54 meters) and Juniper Schwartzman '27 in the javelin (39.79 meters, second all-time and just .04 of a meter off the school record). Also winning was the 4x400 relay team of Emily Summers '29, Noelle Vu '28, Tennyson Shultz '28 and Kate Solano '29 (4:09.01).

Runners-up for Grinnell were Morgan Karow '26 in the 1500 (4:46.29, sixth all-time), Jessie Goodman '26 in the 400 hurdles (1:09.22), Ella McEntee '29 in the 3000 steeplechase (12:03.15) and Steph Kama-Kama '28 in the triple jump (10.50 meters, fourth all-time).

Placing third were Keelin Swisher '29 in the 100 (12.78), Goodman in the 100 hurdles (16.50), Carolina Corcoran '29 in the 800 (2:25.39), Hannah Roth '27 in the 1500 (4:53.04), Rowan Divadeenam '27 in the 5000 (21:29.59), Shultz in the 400 hurdles (1:11.97), Kylie Galowitz '26 in the discus (37.72 meters, ninth all-time), Solano in the triple jump (9.93 meters) and Kirsten Kelly '29 in the high jump (1.58 meters, third all-time).

Also for Grinnell, Galowitz recorded the third-best hammer throw performance in program history with a toss of 43.85 meters.
