Grinnell travels to St. Louis to battle Wheaton in NCAA D-III Regional Women's Tennis

NCAA D-III Bracket

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Grinnell College will be heading to St. Louis for the NCAA Division III Tournament regionals later this week.

The Pioneers, ranked 30th nationally, will face Wheaton College at a time and date to be determined. Grinnell brings a 16-6 mark into the match, while unranked Wheaton owns a 16-5 record.

Grinnell punched its ticket to nationals by winning the Midwest Conference Team Tournament last Saturday with 4-0 victories over Illinois College and Lake Forest College. The Pioneers, who have won 55 matches in a row against league competition dating back to 2018-19, are at nationals for the sixth year in a row and 15th time overall.

Wheaton advanced to nationals by claiming the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin title, toppling Carthage College 4-1 and North Central College by the same score.

The other first-round matches pit 14th-ranked Kenyon against Rose-Hulman and No. 33 Hope against No. 40 Ohio Northern. The Kenyon and Rose-Hulman winner faces either Grinnell or Wheaton, while the winner of the other match takes on third-ranked host WashU.
