ST. LOUIS, Mo. – For the sixth year in a row, Grinnell College's women's tennis team will be taking part in the NCAA Division III Tournament.
 
The Pioneers are in the regional hosted by Washington University in St. Louis, taking the court against Wheaton College at 4 p.m. Thursday. Grinnell is ranked 30^th nationally and is 16-6, while unranked Wheaton owns a 16-5 mark.
 
Grinnell is at nationals for the 19^th time in program history and advanced to the second round the last three years. The Pioneers' singles lineup in its 4-0 Midwest Conference Tournament championship match victory over Lake Forest College consisted, in order, Paige Sargent '27, Pari Chavan '27, Marta Gonzalez '29, Nichole Henning '26, Anika Sheth '26 and Eliana Martin '29. Doubles teams were the duos of Sargent-Isa Voinescu '26, Martin-Tan Mukherjee '26 and Chavan-Gonzalez.
 
The Thunder's singles lineup in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) 4-1 title-match victory over North Central consisted of Madeline Gentry, Tatum Thurstone, Ella Malone, Janet Kondo, Sophie Dew and Mia Luo. Doubles teams were the dos of Gentry-Thurstone, Kondo-Malone and Luo-Carly O'Leary.
 
Thursday's winner plays either 14^th-ranked Kenyon or Rose-Hulman on Friday.
