GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell native Addyson Petig has joined Grinnell College as the new assistant coach for volleyball.
 
After graduating from Grinnell High School, Petig attended Drake University in Des Moines and earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and master's in leadership development with a focus on mindfulness in sports.
 
She played high school and club volleyball growing up in Grinnell and then two years of club ball at Drake. Petig coached AAU for three seasons and is currently coaching USAV with the Iowa Juniors in Ankeny. She also has served as tournament director for AAU events and coached at camps, private lessons and beach volleyball.
 
"We're so excited to welcome Addyson to our program," said Grinnell volleyball coach Eric Ragan. "She brings diverse experiences and skillsets to this position and we can't wait to see all the ways she impacts our team and helps our student-athletes grow."
