Madison Chen claims SLIAC Women's Golf Performer of the Week honor

GRINNELL, Iowa - Grinnell College's Madison Chen '30, from Manhasset, N.Y. (Manhasset Junior-Senior), has been named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Women's Golfer of the Week.

Chen kicked off her collegiate golf career in style over the weekend, placing second of 91 competitors at the Wartburg Fall Invitational. Chen shot even-par rounds of 72 to finish at 144, a two-day score that ranks sixth in program history. Her efforts helped Grinnell to second place in the team standings with a 599.
