GRINNELL, Iowa – For the third week in a row, a Grinnell College women's tennis player has earned a major honor from the Midwest Conference.
 
Margot Groundwater '30, from Philadelphia, Pa. (Friends Central School), has been named Grinnell's third consecutive MWC Performer of the Week.
 
Groundwater posted four key victories over the weekend as the Pioneers improved to 6-0 on the season. She swept matches at the top singles and doubles spots in a 7-0 decision over Ripon College, winning 6-1, 6-2 in singles and 6-0 with Sofia Bolanos '28 in doubles. In a 6-1 victory over Luther College, Groundwater outlasted her foe at No. 6 singles by a score of 7-5, 4-6 and 10-2. She finished off her weekend by teaming with Sanne Ijpma '30 for a 6-3 decision at No. 3 doubles in the Pioneers' 6-1 victory over Cornell College.
 
Grinnell has now stretched its winning streak against MWC foes to 60, dating back to the 2018-19 season.
