Sarah Burnell '14 became the first Grinnell College women's cross country runner to win a Midwest Conference title since 2007 when she accomplished the feat Saturday at Enos Colburn Park.

Burnell ran 22:04.5 over the 6-kilometer course, just 3 seconds off her personal best, en route to defeating defending MWC champion Megan O'Grady of Carroll University by more than 20 seconds.
