Grinnell men's soccer team loses 1-0 decision to St. Norbert

Box Score GRINNELL, Iowa – The Grinnell College men's soccer team lost a hard-fought 1-0 contest to St. Norbert College Sunday afternoon during Senior Day at Springer Field.

Grinnell, 4-4 in the Midwest Conference and 7-7-1 overall, actually outshot the Green Knights 15-9. Joseph Brown '15 had five of Grinnell's shots, Elliot Meyer '15 added three, Pun Winichakul '13 tallied two and taking one each were Benjamin Warner '15, Reed Caron '13, Jay Dreier '13, Victor Ghazal '16 and Rockne Decoster '15.

Keeper Isaiah Tyree '15 had six saves for the Pioneers.

The only goal of the game came in the 14th minute by Tommy Purdom. With the win, St. Norbert is 3-3-2 in league play and 6-7-3 in all contests.

Grinnell finishes out the regular season this coming weekend, playing an 11 a.m. contest at Monmouth College on Saturday and then entertaining Ripon College at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Springer Field.
