Box Score BELOIT, Wis. – The Beloit College men's soccer team slipped past Grinnell College 2-1 in Midwest Conference play Saturday afternoon.
The contest was scoreless at halftime before Beloit took a 1-0 lead in the 52nd minute.
Grinnell raced back to tie it when
Joseph Brown '15 scored in the 66th minute for his team-leading eighth goal. The score remained deadlocked until the hosts connected on the game-winner less than four minutes from the end of the game.
Beloit won the shots battle 16-10. Brown had six of Grinnell's shots,
Michael Hurley '16 added two and
Reed Caron '13 and
Omeed Kashef '14 had one each.
Grinnell keeper
Isaiah Tyree '15 recorded eight saves as Grinnell fell to 3-3 in the Midwest Conference and 5-6-1 overall. Beloit improved to 4-2 in the league and 9-3 in all games.
The Pioneers are at Ripon College next Saturday. Game time is at 1:30 p.m.
