Box Score PELLA, Iowa – For the second contest in a row, the Grinnell College men's soccer team outshot its opponent but still didn't get the win on the scoreboard.

Aleksander Glavas scored both goals for Central College in the first 22 minutes of a 2-1 non-conference victory Tuesday night.

Victor Ghazal '16 found the back of the net for Grinnell in the 23rd minute on a penalty kick, his second goal of the season.

Grinnell won the shots battle 10-5, with Omeed Kashef '14 taking three of those and Ghazal and Joseph Brown '15 getting two apiece. Elliot Meyer '15, Michael Hurley '16 and Ezra Edgerton '16 had one shot each.

Keeper Isaiah Tyree '16 had one save as the Pioneers fell to 0-2. Central improved to 1-1.

Grinnell travels to Rock Island, Ill., on Friday to take on Augustana College. The contest is slated to begin at 7:30 p.m.
