Box Score BELOIT, Wis. – A dominating start to the contest sent the Grinnell College men's soccer team past Beloit College 3-0 Saturday in Midwest Conference action.
Grinnell scored all three of its goals in the first 38 minutes for a 3-0 halftime lead.
Lukas Eng '15 found the back of the net in the seventh minute for his first goal of the season. It was assisted by
Rockne Decoster '15, who had his first assist of the year.
Artis Curiskis '18 tallied his fourth goal of the year in the 13th minute on
Michael Hurley's '16 first assist.
In the 38th minute,
Nicholas Brule '17 connected for his third goal of the year on an assist by
Juan Marin '18. It was Marin's first of the campaign.
Grinnell keeper
Isaiah Tyree '15 recorded two saves as Grinnell posted its sixth shutout of the season while improving to 1-2-2 in the MWC and 5-3-4 overall. Beloit fell to 2-3 in league play and 2-10 overall.
The Pioneers dominated the shots battle, winning it 21-3. Curiskis and Hurley had four shots each,
Antonio Dimarco '18 added three and Brule two.
Grinnell steps out of MWC play Tuesday when Central College visits Springer Field. Action begins at 4 p.m.
