Box Score LAKE FOREST, Ill. – After leading 7-6 at halftime, the Grinnell College football team saw host Lake Forest College erupt for 22 third-period points as the Foresters pulled off a 28-14 victory in Midwest Conference South Division action Saturday. 
Sam Poulos '16 completed 22-of-38 passes for 214 yards and a score for the Pioneers, who fell to 1-4 in the division and 2-7 in all games. 
Greg Ruzich '16 had seven catches for 52 yards, while 
Jacob Meixler '15 and 
Zach McGriff '18 each had five catches. 
Defensively, 
David Ternes '15 led all players with 15 tackles, including 11 solos and a forced fumble. 
Daniel Munger '15 added 11 tackles and 
Jacob Beecher '16 seven. Both had forced fumbles. 
Grinnell fell behind 6-0 before bouncing right back with a four-play, 75-play drive. 
Harrison Hoegh '18 completed a 12-yard pass to Ruzich when, three play later, Poulos hit Meixler with a 63-yard scoring pass. 
Graham Fisher's '16 extra point put Grinnell up 7-6 with 3:14 left in the first period. 
There was no scoring in the second period before Lake Forest's big output in the third quarter. One of the scores was set up by a blocked punt that helped the hosts build a 28-7 lead heading into the final period. 
Grinnell capped the scoring in the fourth period on an 8-yard TD run by Poulos with 1:49 left. He also completed a 24-yard pass to 
Carson Dunn '18 on the drive, a 12-yarder to 
Emmi Sandoval '16 and 11-yarder to Ruzich as well as running for 11 yards. 
Fisher kicked the extra point to conclude the scoring. 
With the win, Lake Forest improved to 2-3 in the division and 3-6 in all games. 
Grinnell concludes its season at home next Saturday when Lawrence University visits Rosenbloom Field for a MWC Championship Weekend Game. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m.
