Box Score GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College's men's soccer team dropped its Midwest Conference opener Saturday afternoon, falling 3-0 to Knox College at Springer Field.
The Prairie Fire, who improved to 6-2 overall and 1-0 in the league, scored in the fifth minute for a 1-0 halftime lead. They then tacked on goals in the 65th and 66th minutes to secure the win.
Each team had eight shots.

Major May '17 played 66 minutes at keeper for the Pioneers, who are 3-2-2 overall and 0-1 in the MWC. He had two saves.
Isaiah Tyree '15 worked the final 23 minutes at keeper.
Grinnell steps out of league play Sunday to play Buena Vista University in Storm Lake. Kickoff is at 1 p.m.
