Box Score GRINNELL, Iowa – Illinois College scored with less than five minutes to play to eke out a 1-0 men's soccer win over Grinnell College Saturday at Springer Field.
 
Grinnell easily won the shots battle 13-6, with Elliot Meyer '15 taking three shots and Pearse Narum '17, Antonio Dimarco '18, Michael Hurley '16 and Joseph Brown '15 two each.
 
Pioneer keeper Isaiah Tyree '15 played the first half and had a save, while Major May '17 worked the second half.
 
Illinois College is now 5-3-1 overall and 1-0 in the Midwest Conference, while Grinnell fell to 4-3-2 in all contests and 0-2 in the league.
 
The Pioneers play at Lake Forest College next Saturday. Action begins at 11 a.m.
