LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Grinnell College's men's cross country team has been a steady force in the Midwest Conference for decades, and the Pioneers expect to again battle for the title at Saturday's league meet hosted by Lake Forest College.
Grinnell returns seven All-MWC runners from last year's league runner-up team. Leading the way is
John Lennon '19, who has the second-fastest time in the MWC this season and has twice earned all-conference honors. Other runners ranked in the top 20 this season are
Gray Streetman '19 (14th),
Matt Lieberman '21 (16th),
Lucas Chamberland '21 (17th),
Jackson Schulte '20 (19th) and
John Osler '20 (20th).
Streetman and Schulte are two-time All-MWC honorees, while Lieberman and Chamberland have been All-MWC once.
The men's 8-kilometer race begins at noon.
