LAKE FOREST, Ill. –
Gray Streetman '19 made a huge leap onto Grinnell College's all-time top 50 men's cross country list while propelling the Pioneers to runner-up honors at the 2018 Midwest Conference Championships.
Streetman, one of four Pioneers to earn All-MWC individual honors, toured the 8-kilometer course in 25:47 to place seventh. That puts him 28th on the Pioneers' all-time list as he earned All-MWC honors for the third time in his career.
Grinnell scored 74 points to finish second or higher at the league meet for the 34th season in a row. Cornell College won the meet with 36 points.
John Lennon '19 and
Jackson Schulte '20 were also All-MWC for the third time, as Lennon placed 11th in 26:28 and Schulte 17th in 26:53. Rounding out Grinnell's All-MWC list was
John Osler '20 (18th in 26:54), who made it for the first time.
Lucas Chamberland '21 just missed All-MWC as he was 21st in 27:13.
Other top Pioneers were
Kody Harrison '22 (28th in 27:26) and
Matt Lieberman '21 (33rd in 27:37).
The Pioneers head to Waverly on Nov. 10 to compete in the NCAA Division III Regional Championships.
