WAVERLY, Iowa - The Grinnell College cross country teams are looking for a strong showing at the NCAA Division III Central Region Championships Saturday.

The meet, hosted by Wartburg College, begins with the women's 6-kilometer race at 11 a.m. The men's 8-kilometer event begins at noon at Max Championship Cross Country Course.

The top two teams and seven individuals not on qualifying teams automatically qualify for the NCAA D-III Championships. Additional at-large qualifying teams will be selected Sunday.

Both Grinnell teams are 10th in the latest regional rankings.
