Grinnell men's cross country team displays improvement all the way around at Wartburg meet

Results

WAVERLY, Iowa – It was improvement all the way around for the Grinnell College men's cross country team at Saturday's Wartburg College Steve Johnson/Dan Huston Invitational.
 
All 12 Pioneers competing at the meet posted season-best times, with Bradley Ramsey '24 and Matt Lieberman '22 again leading the way. Ramsey was 20th among scorers in the 171-runner field with a time of 26 minutes, 41.64 seconds, while Lieberman was right behind in 21st in 26:42.83 on the 8-kilometer course.
 
Rounding out Grinnell's list of scorers were Brian Goodell '24 (38th in 27:57.88), Kody Harrison '22 (42nd in 28:17.62) and Carter Williams '25 (45th in 28:31.44).
 
Also for Grinnell, Micah Cantor '24 ran 29:44.49 to place 57th and Zeke Reilly '25 finished in 29:47.25 and was 58th.
 
Grinnell was sixth in the team standings with 166 points. Wartburg won the meet with 18 points and had the individual champ in Joe Freiburger, who ran 24:27.08.
 
Grinnell travels to Rock Island, Ill., on Oct. 16 to compete in the Augustana College Invitational.
