GREEN LAKE, Wis. – Two Grinnell College men's cross country runners repeated as All-Midwest Conference performers while leading the Pioneers to a third-place finish at the league meet Saturday.

Matt Lieberman '22 and
Andrew Nickeson '23 claimed All-MWC honors for the second time by finishing seventh and 16
th, respectively.

Lieberman was Grinnell's top finisher, running the 8-kilometer Tuscumbia Golf Course race in 27 minutes, 11.54 seconds. He finished two spots higher than in 2019 in the field of 93 runners.

Bradley Ramsey '24 was next in line for Grinnell, finishing eighth in 27:13.10. Grinnell had three others who were All-MWC honorees, those being
Spencer Skidmore '24 (12
th in 27:22.00), Nickeson (27:33.39) and
Brian Goodell '24 (20
th in 27:49.39).

Kody Harrison '22 just missed All-MWC honors, placing 21
st in 27:58.55.
Eli Brotman '25 added a 29
th-place finish in 28:39.43.

Lawrence University won a tight battle for the team title, scoring 46 points to beat Cornell College by four. Grinnell tallied 63 points. Cornell had the individual champ in Aaron Davidson, who ran 25:43.49.

Grinnell is back in action on Nov. 13 to compete in the NCAA Division III Central Region Championships in Rock Island, Ill.
