PELLA, Iowa – Bradley Ramsey '24 and Matt Lieberman '22 led the charge for the Grinnell College men's cross country team at the season-opening Central Invitational Friday night.
 
Ramsey was seventh in the 6-kilometer race in 20 minutes, 29.4 seconds, while Lieberman placed ninth of 49 runners in 20:41.9.
 
Rounding out the scorers for Grinnell were Andrew Nickeson '23, 14^th in 21:09.9, Brian Goodell '24, 16^th in 21:16.0 and Spencer Skidmore '24, 17^th in 21:22.2.
 
Kody Harrison '22 and Ben Harvey '22 were 18^th and 19^th in 21:43.7 and 22:07.2, respectively.
 
Grinnell was third in the team standings with 63 points. Central College was the champ with 21 points and had the individual winner in Noah Jorgenson, who ran 19:56.3.
 
The Pioneers host the annual Les Duke Invitational next Saturday.
