ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Grinnell College's all-time women's cross country leader board took a big hit Saturday as the Pioneers competed in a loaded field at the Augustana Interregional Invitational at Saukie Golf Course.

First-year sensation
Keely Miyamoto '26 was impressive again, running the 6-kilometer event in 23 minutes. 4.5 seconds, a clocking that ranks 17
th in program history. Miyamoto was 77
th in the 244-runner field.

Emma Schaefer '23 was next for Grinnell, running 23:48.2 and placing 106
th.
Hannah Roark '26 leaped onto the Pioneers' top 50 chart with a clocking of 23:55.4, good for 36
th in GC history and 115
th place at the meet.
Sarah Torrence '23 was next, placing 115
th in 24:05.9. Both Schaeffer's and Torrence's times were top-50 caliber, as well, but they are already listed on the chart.

Just missing Grinnell's top 50 was
Talia Harrison '26, who ran 24:15.8 and placed 118
th. Also for Grinnell,
Megan LeBlanc '23 was 121
st in 24:20.7 and
Diana Barba '26 took 127
th in 24:38.1.

Grinnell placed 18
th in the 25-team meet with 528 points. The University of Chicago won with 54 points and Loras College had the individual champ in Kassie Parker, who ran 20:00.1.

The Pioneers have next weekend off before taking part in the Midwest Conference Championship Oct. 29 in Monmouth, Ill.
