DECORAH, Iowa – Cindy Wang '28 led the charge for Grinnell College's women's cross country team at Friday afternoon's Saga Cup hosted by Luther College.
 
Wang ran the 6-kilometer race in 24 minutes, 29.8 seconds to finish 16^th of 61 runners. Ella McEntee '29, Tennyson Shultz '28 and Emily Summers '29 were next in line for the Pioneers, placing 21^st through 23^rd with times of 24:40.7, 24:43.8 and 24:55.2, respectively. Beatrice Ebel '28 completed the scoring by taking 27^th in 25:09.4.
 
Also for Grinnell, Edie Broadmoore '29 was 39^th in 25:59.5 and Julia Chang '29 placed 44^th in 26:27.8.
 
Grinnell tallied 95 points to place third in the team standings. Wartburg College was the champ with 17 and had the individual winner in Nadia Bowden, who ran 23:08.9.
 
Grinnell will compete at the NCAA Division III Regional Championships next Saturday in Waverly.
