MONMOUTH, Ill. – Grinnell College's cross country teams have already enjoyed successful seasons, and will look to carry those over to the 2022 Midwest Conference Championships Saturday.
The women's 6-kilometer race at Gibson Woods Golf Course in Monmouth, Ill., begins at 11 a.m. with the men's 8-kilometer race following at noon.
Grinnell has three women ranked among the league's top 10, led by
Keely Miyamoto's '26 second-place ranking.
Emma Schaefer '23 and
Hannah Roark '26 are seventh and eighth, respectively.
Also among the leaders are
Sarah Torrence '23 (12
th),
Talia Harrison '26 (14
th),
Megan LeBlanc '23 (15
th) and
Diana Barba '26 (19
th).
Schaefer is a two-time All-Conference performer and Torrence and LeBlanc have earned the honor once.
On the men's side, Grinnell's
Brian Goodell '24 has the second-fastest time in the league. Teammates
Luke Robinson '26,
Bradley Ramsey '24,
Andrew Nickeson '24 and
John Miller '26 are 11
th through 14
th, respectively, and
Connor Heagy '26 is 16
th.
Nickeson is a two-time All-Conference performer, while Ramsey and Goodell have each earned the honor once.
Grinnell's women finished second at last year's meet and the men were third.
