Miyamoto is top performer for GC at Midwest Regional Cross Country Championships

GENEVA, Ill. – Keely Miyamoto '26 placed 41st of 204 runners to lead Grinnell College's women's cross country team at Saturday's NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Championships.
 
Miyamoto's time over the 6-kilometer Northwestern Medicine Cross Country Course route was 23:31.4. Hannah Roark '26 and Talia Harrison '26 continued Grinnell's first-year charge, placing 54th and 71st in 23:58.7 and 24:23.0, respectively.
 
Other scorers for Grinnell were Emma Schaefer '23 and Sarah Torrence '23, who were 81st and 82nd in 24:38.6 and 24:38.7. Rounding out Grinnell's lineup were Diana Barba '26 (90th in 24:51.8) and Megan LeBlanc '23 (98th in 25:00.2).
 
Kassie Parker of Loras College was the champ in 21:14.0 and Wartburg College won the team title with 36 points. Grinnell was 12th of 34 teams 324 points.
