Grinnell women's cross country team has strong performance at Luther

DECORAH, Iowa - Grinnell College's women's cross country team was solid across the board, placing third at the Luther College Saga Cup Friday.


The Pioneers tallied 96 points at the meet and finished only behind the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (25 points) and Wartburg College (36).

Crystal Kaczmarczyk '25 led the Pioneers, running the 6-kilometer course in 25 minutes, 15.57 seconds. Other scorers for the Pioneers were Sophia Ford '25 (27th in 25:46.18), Ginger Mullen '25 (31st in 26:06.38), Eleanor Elliott-Rude '25 (32nd in 26:07.10) and Allison Rabbani '25 (40th in 26:30.22).

The individual champ was Ashley Bloomquist of Wartburg, who ran 23:14.55.

The Pioneers will compete at the NCAA Division III Regional Meet next Saturday in Geneva, Ill.
