Miyamoto earns All-Region honors while leading Grinnell to impressive Regional Championships performance

WAVERLY, Iowa - Keely Miyamoto '26 raced to All-Region honors while leading a strong charge by the Grinnell College women's cross country team at the NCAA Division III Midwest Region Championships Saturday.

Miyamoto placed 29th in the meet, posting a personal-best time of 22 minutes, 31.9 seconds over the 6-kilometer Wartburg College course. That time ranks eighth in program history.

Morgan Karow '26 just missed All-Region honors, placing 36th in 22:53.9. That time is 14th all-time at Grinnell. Hannah Roark '26 ran the 29th-best time in program history by going 23:31.1, which was good for 54th place.

Talia Harrison '26 had a season-best time of 23:58.1 and Crystal Kaczmarczyk '25 rounded out Grinnell's scorers with a time of 24:24.9. Also for the Pioneers, Diana Barba '26 had a season-best clocking of 24:40.8 and Allison Rabbani '25 finished in a personal-best time of 24:52.7.

Grinnell was eighth in the 31-team field with 282 points. Wartburg won the meet with 37 points to earn the region's automatic NCAA nationals berth, and the Knights had the individual champ in Lexi Brown, who ran 20:51.6.

Additional national qualifiers will be selected via an at-large process on Sunday.
