Robinson leads the charge for Grinnell XC team at Interregional Invite

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Luke Robinson '26 led the charge for Grinnell College's men's cross country team Saturday at the Augustana Interregional Invitational.

Robinson ran the 8-kilometer race at Saukie Golf Course in 26 minutes, 11.6 seconds. He finished 143rd of 447 runners.

Connor Heagy '26 was next in line in 26:33.0, while Sam Beck '27 ran 26:34.9, John Miller '27 raced home in 27:03.1 and Jason Newman '28 finished in 27:18.4. Also for Grinnell, Greyson Imm '28 and David In '28 ran 27:40.8 and 27:49.5, respectively.

Grinnell was 30th in the team standings with 850 points. Wartburg College won the meet with 41 points and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater's Christian Patzka was the individual champ in 23:52.7.

The Pioneers also had runners compete in the Blue Division. Sebastian Manza '27 ran 27:57.4 and Ryan Boev '25 finished in 28:57.5.

Grinnell's next action is the Midwest Conference Championship in two weeks.
