GC women's cross country team sees plenty of movement on all-time leader board

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Five members of the Grinnell College women's cross country team either moved up the program's all-time top 50 chart, or entered it for the first time, with a huge performance Saturday at the Augustana Interregional Invitational.

Morgan Karow '26 ran the 6-kilometer race at Saukie Golf Course in 22 minutes, 44.4 seconds, moving to 14th to 11th on the all-time list. She was 63rd of 363 runners.

Next in line for the Pioneers was Hannah Roark '26, who finished in 23:08.8 to move from 29th to 21st all-time. She placed 97th.

Genevieve Madigan '28 ran 23:20.9 to move from 38th to 25th, Hannah Roth '27 finished in 23:48.6 to enter the rankings at the 39th spot and Crystal Kaczmarczyk '25 ran 23:54.7 to jump from 47th to 40th.

Also for Grinnell, Diana Barba '25 ran 24:14.9 and Noelle Vu '28 finished in 24:25.2.

As a team, Grinnell finished 17th in the highly-competitive field of 35 teams with 538 points. Colorado College won with 56 points and had the individual champ in Isabel Olson, who ran 21:07.1.

Grinnell also had runners in the Blue Division and was led by Grace Charron '26 and Allison Rabbani '25, who finished in 25:18.0 and 25:26.6, respectively.

The Pioneers' next action is the Midwest Conference Championship in two weeks.
