APPLETON, Wis. – Grinnell College had a half-dozen women's cross country runners race to All-Midwest Conference honors as the Pioneers enjoyed a huge outing at the league meet.
Grinnell had several runners earn personal-best times and move up, or onto, the program's top-50 leader board while earning second place in the team standings. The Pioneers finished with 45 points, 11 behind the host school champion Lawrence University.
Morgan Karow '26 and
Hannah Roark '26 finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 103-runner race at Reid Municipal Golf Course. Karow toured the 6-kilometer course in 22 minutes, 36.93 seconds and Roark finished in 22:51.42. Karow's time moves her to ninth in program history and Roark is 15
th.
First-year
Genevieve Madigan '28 also posted a top-10 finish, racing to eighth place in 23:05.67. That time is 20
th in program history.
Hannah Roth '27 and
Crystal Kaczmarczyk '25 continued the All-Conference charge, placing 13
th and 15
th in 23:48.53 and 23:54.54. Those match their personal-bests that have them 38
th and 40
th on GC's all-time list.
Also claiming All-MWC honors and moving onto the all-time leader board were
Emma Wharton-Hsieh '27 (16
th in 23:57.88) and
Tennyson Shultz '28 (17
th in 24:00.25). Wharton-Hsieh is 43
rd all-time at GC and Shultz ranks 48
th.
Roark and Kaczmarczyk have been All-MWC three times in their careers, while Karow is a two-time honoree.
Cristyn Oliver of Lawrence was the individual champion in 21:55.83.
