Lucas Fadden set to take national stage in 100-meter dash at NCAA D-III Championships

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - When Lucas Fadden '26 steps on the track at the NCAA Division III Championships Friday, he'll be making history.

Fadden is the first-ever Grinnell men's trackster to qualify for nationals in the 100-meter dash. He'll compete in preliminary action at 4:45 p.m. Eastern time at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.

Fadden will occupy lane one in the first of three heats. The winner of each heat, plus the next five fastest runners will make Saturday afternoon's final.

Fadden comes into the meet as Grinnell's record-holder with a best time of 10.49 seconds.
