4 GC runners enter program's all-time leader list with strong performance at Central

GRINNELL, Iowa - Grinnell College had four new entries into the women's cross country all-time top 50 list with a stellar season-opening performance at the Central Dutch Invite Friday.


Hannah Roark '26 led Grinnell with a third-place finish in the 83-runner field, touring the 5-kilometer course in 19 minutes, 34.0 seconds. That time is tied for 24th in program history.

Morgan Karow '26 and newcomer Genevieve Madigan '28 were eighth and ninth, respectively. Karow ran 20:05.9, tied for 44th all-time, and Madigan's clocking of 20:07.2 is 48th.

Crystal Kaczmarczyk '25 finished 12th in 20:11.1, tied for 50th all-time. She was followed by two newcomers, Tennyson Shultz '28 (13th in 20:20.2) and Sindri Bonner '28 (14th in 20:20.3). Also for Grinnell, Emma Wharton-Hsieh '27 was 15th in 20:42.0.

Grinnell finished second in the six-team meet with 45 points. Central won with 19 and had the individual champ in Teah Miller, who ran 18:39.9.

The Pioneers host the annual Les Duke Invitational next Saturday.
