Pioneer men's track and field squad spreads the wealth at Dutch Athletic Classic

Five Grinnell athletes claim event titles

PELLA, Iowa - The Grinnell College men's track and field team spread the wealth Friday, with five different individuals winning titles at the Central Dutch Athletic Classic.

Champs for Grinnell were Jake Logue '28 in the 60-meter dash (7.09 seconds, second all-time at Grinnell), Jesse Miller '28 in the 200 (23.18, ranks seventh all-time), Linus O'Brien '28 in the 300 (37.38), Cameron Welch-Groves '26 in the 800 (2:04.40) and Ian Clawson '26 in the weight throw (16.46 meters).

Jake Warren '28 was second in the 200 in 24.02, the same placing as Jack Novelle '26 in the high jump. He went 1.86 meters. Placing third were Caden Pfister '27 in the 300 (37.62), Ryan Boev '25 in the 600 (1:33.82), Owen Block '27 in the 800 (2:20.23), Miller in the long jump (6.37 meters), Rohan Thota '28 in the pole vault (3.85 meters) and Clawson in the shot put (11.90 meters).

Clay Glessner '28 was fourth in the 200 in 24.17 and Casey Oliveira '27 had the same placing in the long jump with a leap of 6.23 meters. Fifth place went to Warren in the 60 (7.28, ran 7.27 in prelims which ranks 10th in program history), Travis Chu '25 in the shot put (11.75 meters) and Pfister in the triple jump (12.26 meters). Rory Leonard threw 12.73 meters in the weight throw, which ranks eighth in program history.
