GC men's track and field team puts up impressive performances Friday night

WAVERLY, Iowa - Grinnell College's men's track and field team put up some strong performances at the Friday Knight Lights indoor event hosted by Wartburg College.

Ben Abelow '28 was impressive in the 3000-meter run, placing third in a talented field with a time of 8 minutes, 57.33 seconds.

Ian Clawson '26 added a ninth-place finish in the weight throw with a toss of 16.36 meters, while Luke Robinson '26 ran 4:19.05 in the mile. That time, which is less than 2 seconds off his school record, was good for 11th place.

Andy Chestovich '26 added a 15th-place finish in the 800 with a time of 2:00.58.

The Pioneers host the Darren Young Classic next weekend in the Bear Center Field House.
