Grinnell men's 4x100-meter relay team runs fastest time for program in more than 3 decades

ATLANTA, Gla. - Grinnell College's 4x100-meter relay team sprinted to the fastest time for the program in 32 years Saturday at the Emory Spring Break Invitational.


The foursome of Jake Logue '28, Jake Warren '28, Linus O'Brien '28 and Caden Pfister '27 teamed up to run 42.73 seconds in the event. That ranks second all-time and is less than two-tenths of a second off the school record set in 1993.

Ben Abelow '28 was eighth in the open 1500 with a time of 4:10.52, while Luke Robinson '26 placed 14th in the 800 in 1:56.48.

O'Brien added a 20th-place finish in the 400 in 50.57 and Warren placed 21st in the 100 in 11.14.

Grinnell is at the Central Dutch Invite next Saturday.
