Keshav ties school record with sizzling round of 66 at WashU meet

Grinnell wins team crown in talented field

CRESCENT, Mo. - Kavya Keshav '26 tied a Grinnell College school record with a blazing round of 66 at the WashU Spring Invite Saturday at Crescent Farms Golf Club.

Keshav had six birdies on the day and helped 31st-ranked Grinnell to the team lead with a 298, the 10th-best score in Pioneer history. That score held for the title as the second day of competition was cancelled due to inclement weather.

Grinnell tied the University of Wisconsin-Stout in the 15-team affair and beat both 18th-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University and the third-ranked host school.

Keshav, who shot 5-under-par, beat the runner-up by six strokes in the 98-golfer event. Vidushi Keni '26 was next in line for Grinnell with a 74, good for a seventh-place tie.

Meilin Hoshino '27 tied for 22nd with a 77, Saya Geisendorfer '27 was 33rd at 79, Emily Lackershire '27 was 45th at 81 and Amy Nguyen '26 shot an 84.
