Multiple GC men's track and field athletes jump into program's all-time top 10

PELLA, Iowa - Grinnell College's men's track and field team had several performers make their mark on the program's all-time top 10 list at the Central Dutch Invitational Friday.

Those efforts combined with strong performances in other races for GC that included third-place efforts by Luke Robinson '26 in the 1500-meter run (4 minutes, 13.20 seconds) and Sam Beck '27 in the 5000 (15:43.70).

Jake Warren '28 ran the 100 in 10.94, the sixth-best time in Grinnell history. Keaton Fitzgerald's '26 clocking of 11.04 ranks ninth all-time. Grinnell had four runners enter the program's 200 list, led by Clay Glessner's '28 time of 22.10 which ranks fourth. Jesse Miller '28 (22.19), Caden Pfister '27 (22.25) and Linus O'Brien '28 (22.40) rank fifth, sixth and ninth, respectively.

Xavier James '25 placed fourth in the 400 hurdles in 58.10 and Jacob Schomberg '28 was eighth in 1:03.60. Greyson Imm '28 was sixth in the 5000 in 16:09.56 and Jason Newman '28 took seventh in the 1500 in 4:17.40. Ilem Leisher '27 ran the 100 hurdles in 15.71, sixth all-time.

Grinnell added a sixth-place finish in the 4x400 relay in 3:32.66 with Miller, Glessner, O'Brien and Pfister.

Jake Bell '27 unleashed the fourth-best discus toss in program history at 45.74 meters. Jack Novelle '26 and Pfister were fifth and sixth in the triple jump at 11.82 meters and 11.64. Ian Clawson '26 placed sixth in the hammer with a toss of 51.49 meters, while Rory Leonard '28 took eighth in the javelin at 44.35 meters.
