Luke Robinson shatters school record in indoor 3000-meter run

WAVERLY, Iowa - Luke Robinson '26 toppled a 21-year-old Grinnell College men's track and field record at the Wartburg Qualifier meet Saturday.

Robinson finished third in the 3000-meter run in 8 minutes, 28.60 seconds, beating the previous school mark of 8:31.91 set by Hall of Famer Adam Booth in 2004. Robinson beat his previous best time by more than 10 seconds.

Also for Grinnell, Ian Clawson '26 finished eighth in the weight throw with a toss of 16.39 meters.
