Walker leads GC men's golfers on final day of Knox Invite

GALESBURG, Ill. - Thornton Walker '25 posted a stellar 4-over-par round to lead Grinnell College's men's golfers Sunday at the Knox College Invitational.

Walker fired a 76 at Soangetaha Country Club and finished the meet with a 154, good for 17th place. Roger Smith '28, who shot 80 on Sunday, finished with a 152 for 11th place.

Eshaan Sethi '25 added an 84 Sunday, John Robinson '25 tallied a 90 and Kevin Carpenter '25 added a 91. Overall, Sethi was at 163, Robinson had a 176 and Carpenter shot 177.

Drake Stoudt of Augustana College won the individual title with a 146 and Central College was the team champ at 591. Grinnell, which shot 330 on Sunday for a total of 645, finished sixth.
