WGCA All-Region Team

GRINNELL, Iowa – For the second year in a row, Grinnell College's Meilin Hoshino '27 has been named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) NCAA Division III All-Central Region Team.

Hoshino is a two-time St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) individual champion and Player of the Year. She was instrumental in the Pioneers punching their ticket to the NCAA D-III Championships in consecutive years for the first time since 2014 and 2015.

She established a school record this season with a 74.21 stroke average, breaking the 2016-17 mark of Vidushi Sinha. She is also the school's career stroke average leader at 74.50 with two seasons yet to play.

Hoshino's efforts helped Grinnell break the team stroke average record with a mark of 303.30, more than five strokes better than the previous mark set in 2021-22.
