GRINNELL, Iowa - The accomplishments of Grinnell College's 2024-25 student-athletes were recognized Wednesday night in the Harris Center at the school's GOAL ceremony organized by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Besides successes of all Pioneer teams, several individual student-athletes were also acknowledged.

First-Year Athlete of the Year Awards went to basketball player
Cassidy Pak '28 (women's team sport), cross country and track runner
Genevieve Madigan '28 and swimmer
Bella Takata '28 (women's individual sport), basketball player
Harris Dar '28 (men's team sport) and swimmer
Evan Feilmeyer '28 (men's individual sport).
Senior Athlete of the Year Awards for women's sports went to
Sophia Carroll '25 (swimming),
Lily Perrin '25 (tennis),
Sara Booher '25 (basketball),
Emily Brewer '25 (volleyball) and
Giada Bambi '25 (soccer).

Collecting Senior Athlete of the Year Awards on the men's side were
Kevin Fitzgerald '25 (swimming),
Thornton Walker '25 (golf),
Mac McCain '25 (baseball),
Hugh Werner '25 (football) and
Dylan Maddux '25 (soccer).

Other awards went to the women's soccer team (Spirit Award), women's basketball team (Service and Outreach Award) and men's basketball (Biggest Win).

Also at the ceremony, attendees were treated to a speech by former D-III student-athlete, Dr. Kelsey Millovig. Also, Grinnell College's first-ever Chi Alpha Sigma class was presented.
