Grinnell softball team, 11 players honored for academics by NFCA

GRINNELL, Iowa - Grinnell College's softball squad has captured NCAA Division III Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Team Academic honors for the 2025 season.

The award is given to programs that have a 3.00 or better combined grade point average. Grinnell accumulated a team GPA of 3.542.

The Pioneers also had 11 players named NCAA D-III Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete honors for posting GPAs of 3.5 or higher in 2024-25. Those players were Sofia DiCarlo '25, Hannah Dykstra '25, Lane Kohler '25, Bella Nesbeth '26, Nicolette Parrott '26, Elyse Pender '27, Kala Bisterfeldt '28, Asianah Gostyla '28, Kayla O'Malley '28, Elise Strohm '28 and Ella Young '28. DiCarlo and Kohler are three-time honorees, while Pender has won the award twice.
