GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College is a heavy favorite to defend its Midwest Conference title streak in women's tennis this fall.
 
The Pioneers received the maximum six first-place votes and 36 points in polling of the league's coaches. Lake Forest College was picked second with one first-place vote and 31 points.
 
Rounding out the top five are Cornell College with 26 points, Illinois College with 19 and Lawrence University with 14.
 
Grinnell has won six league titles in a row, eight since 2016-17 and 20 overall.
