GRINNELL, Iowa – For the second time this season, a Grinnell College student-athlete has been named the Midwest Conference Women's Tennis Performer of the Week.
 
This week's honoree is Tan Mukherjee '26, from Kolkata, India (Calcutta International School Society). Mukherjee was a perfect 3-for-3 as Grinnell opened MWC play with 7-0 victories over Lawrence University and Ripon College Saturday. That extended Grinnell's winning streak against MWC foes to 49, dating back to 2018-19. Of those wins, 37 have been via shutout.
 
Mukherjee was a double champ against Lawrence, winning 6-2, 6-4 at No. 1 singles and 6-3 at No. 1 doubles with Marta Gonzalez. In the Ripon match, Mukherjee only played doubles and teamed with Gonzalez for a 6-1 victory at the top spot.
