Pioneer women's track and field team rolls up several victories at Central meet

Results

PELLA, Iowa - Grinnell College's women's track and field team collected four event victories at the Dutch Athletic Classic hosted by Central College Friday.

Kylie Galowitz '26 claimed top honors in the weight throw with a toss of 14.14 meters, which ranks third in program history.

Other champs were Emily Summers '29 in the 400-meter dash (1 minutes, 4.38 seconds), Carolina Corcoran '29 in the 800 (2:33.70) and Morgan Karow '26 in the 3000 (10:53.73).

Grinnell dominated the 800 as athletes placing second through fifth were Edie Broadmoore '29 (second in 2:37.39), Brooke Kreeger '27 (third in 2:40.75), Julia Toro '29 (fourth in 2:43.53) and Julia Chang '29 (fifth in 2:43.90).

The Pioneers sported the same dominance in the 3000 as Sindri Bonner '28 was second in 10:55.54, Hannah Roth '27 took third in 10:58.31, Emma Wharton-Hsieh '27 was fourth in 11:08.21 and Arushi Kharbanda '29 placed fifth in 11:11.74.

The 4x200 relay team of Corcoran, Noelle Vu '28, Tennyson Shultz '28 and Summers was second in 4:29.23, as was Rajanea Landers '28 in the 200 with a time of 27.10.

Placing third for Grinnell were Galowitz in the shot put (10.75 meters), Avery Lampe '29 in the 400 (1:08.29), Broadmoore in the mile (5:46.09) and Jessie Goodman 26 in the 60 hurdles (10.21).

Keelin Swisher '29 placed fourth in the 200 in 27.26, a time that ranks ninth in program history. Kirsten Kelly '29 and Lily Mayo '28 were fifth in the high jump and shot put with efforts of 1.47 meters and 8.79, respectively.
