Lucas Fadden shatters own school record in indoor 200-meter dash

Grinnell senior star beats several NCAA D-I, D-II foes in the process

IOWA CITY - Competing against plenty of NCAA Division I opponents, Grinnell College senior sprint standout Lucas Fadden '26 shattered his own school record in the 200-meter dash Friday night.

Participating at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational at the University of Iowa's Recreation Center, Fadden defeated multiple D-I and D-II runners on his way to finishing second in a field of 12 with a time of 21.61 seconds.

That time ranks sixth at the NCAA D-III level this season and converts to 22.00 on a flat track. That clocking breaks his school mark of 22.16 established two years ago.

Grinnell's Luke Robinson '26 also competed at Friday's meet, running the Premier Larry Wieczorek 3000 in 8:38.32.
